Today I woke up and there was snow on the ground but I still had spring fever. It turned out to be a highly productive day for me. I kept working throughout the day and my brain actually turned on tonight. Right now I am working night and day on my little business. Today I realised I have over 20,000 dollars worth of books listed on the internet. I am going to try and have a fire sale and I am going to use a repricing script tonight. What that is is a little program that operates within the database management and bookselling website I use. It automatically reprices your inventory based on an algorithm that compares your price to the market leaders. I am afraid I am going to end up with a lot of bottom feeders so I backed up my inventory tonight. It could very well trash my inventory or it could really start things up in terms of sales. Either way, I expect to be busy this week. My little affirmation is working by Jove!
I started up the cd’s and lp’s wing of the business this weekend and that has been keeping me busy. I figure diversify, diversify, and continue to look for new avenues to make money. I am starting a process of liquidating my life and pairing down on material possessions. Only keeping those I treasure the most. I’m getting rid of my cd collection as i know the media is going to be soon obsolete and the value is depreciating. I might as well dump them and rip them now before the market gets flooded.
Right now life has very little time for the wanderings of a lost soul. In the end we begin again, and in a way things went full circle for me. A week ago I was ready to give this whole thing up (my business) and dig a ditch so to speak. Right now I am back working with an incredible intensity and the smarts and seasoning of a veteran. Oh well, its time to relax-only without the Miller beer or any beer for that matter. I’m nice and dry now-and my brain is functioning much better.
Well today I had a sort of epiphany. It happened when I was walking down to the gym & thinking about running out of money etc. There before me on the sidewalk was an empty billfold full of money. I picked it up and there was almost 70$ just lying there. Since I was downtown I looked around to see if I was on candid camera, after quickly seeing none of the ubiquitous vision systems in sight, I grabbed the billfold and waltzed off whistling a happy tune. Why it makes me paranoid to be on camera finding a bunch of money, I don’t know, maybe that’s unhealthy-I would think its just a part of being too aware of my surroundings.
I suddenly realized life is easy if you trust the flow. I believe in Omens to a certain extant. Yes, it was somebody’s money, they just might be starving-am I all right with the Karma Police? I wasn’t sure so I took a measure. In order to stem the tide of bad JuJu I posted an anonymous ad on Craigslist stating where I found the money. What astounded me was I got over 10 replies. What kind of vulture’s are out there? I felt alright with the Karma Police after that and I went and deposited the tainted money in my bank account.
After this rather pleasant but still perplexing ordeal I decided that my worries are an effort to get me to swim against the current so to speak. Why not just focus on what I have been doing for the past three years instead of contemplating yet another career change. I’ve gone from ditch digger to painter to carpenter to draftsman to assembly line worker to quality control to Engineer and pretty much back full circle. Maybe that’s why women perceive me as unstable-I’m never happy where I am at. Today’s lesson was that you cannot be happy unless you can function in your own personal space. When you are always seeking out something your never functioning in the here and now. What I realized today that the little quest I have been taking for the last two months has been Quixotic/idiotic-wandering around in between the bar and the coffee shop. I need to quit wandering and start applying myself to my business model so to speak. It has worked, it can work, and it will work.
Well I am back to work now-cleaning up my life a little. Staying out of both the bar and the coffee shop will be good for awhile. I am going on mini-offensive to liquidate my business and get rid of some personal possessions that are just matter taking up space. I plan to generate enough income to pay down my business line of credit and start leveraging debt towards growth and not survival.
Today I realized that my eBay store needs beaucoup work and I have been running my business with my head up where the sun doesn’t shine. Still, I lumbered around the shit cave like a blind bat enough to stick in there for a few years. I spent a small fortune on books, many of which I got burned on, my lessons have been learned. I lick my wounds but still I hobble on to keep fighting another day. Most people don’t get rich until they are in their mid-forties. I feel like I am blessed with the entrepreneurial spirit and at least the possibility for wealth. I have the ability to learn how to take chances and I can see the pavement enough to know its better to tuck and roll than splatter on it. I have too much pride to fail at my own thing-the wandering is over. I must trust the process of my life and things will fall into to place. I need to quit fighting change.
Well know I am dug in in my apartment like the Roman Army. The only way out of this old rat hole is through pure blood, sweat, and tears. I have to be thankful for my life and today’s omen was good. Tonight I didn’t go to the bar or the liquor store-I had one 24 ounce can of PBR. I went jogging for the first time in a long while and I am paying the price. My lungs and throat burn but its a good feeling. Today I took the last of my swag weed out of my fishing vest and rolled it into a few joints and tonight I am just kicking back getting ready to go crazy on the internet and make some$$$. Finding some dough on the pavement was a huge uplift, even if it was from a starving mother-thank you. I figure it was probably just some stupid stoned idiot like myself. I once dropped a wallet with two hundred dollars in it in Westwood , California and I had a major freak-out. Somehow I found it again-miracle of miracles. This evening I know that the god’s are smiling on me-whoever they are.
I’ll leave with an old favorite by the Man they used to call Satch-Mo. The man who smoked acres of dirt weed in his day, the incomparable Louie Armstrong-What a Wonderful World
Well, here I am almost a week cold turkey off cigarettes. During this period I had one relapse so I guess it hasn’t been a week. Unfortunately in order to stop completely I also need to quit drinking. Beer and tobacco go hand in hand for me. Lately I have been drinking more than usual. I think its because I quit getting high. One vice traded for another-that’s the way it goes. Its tough to quit all your bad habits at once, but sometimes you have to check yourself.
The good news is, I’m not becoming a Morman. Eventually I’ll go back to having a few beers. It is really time to clean my lungs out. My Achilles heel injury is finally healed up so it’s time to start running again. Instead of going to happy hour I am going to start jogging and build up to doing 5 and 10k’s. Since the holidays I have lost over 10 pounds and I want to get back to my optimal weight which is 175. I have been at 210 before, only a few years ago. It feels good to lose the weight. I am going to start really hitting the gym. Exercise is the best way to get over all of your addictions. In a way it becomes an addiction in itself-but it is a more life affirming addiction than drinking and smoking.
The bottom line is, the bar culture sucks. People you meet in bars are not life affirming people for the most part. My actual bottoming out came this year for Easter. I am not religious but at the same time not having family in town was sort of painful. I got more drunk than usual and started bumming cig’s at the bar. I went outside and went to have a conversation with some writer’s which will resonate in my head for years to come. The image of someone 10 years younger than I am with the shakes is not easy to forget. Shaking like a faggot eating a hotdog, shaking like a whore on a troop ship; the point is I don’t want to be shaking at all. The end of the line for drinking is cirrhosis of the Liver. This is a huge killer in America-a lot of drunks die from liver damage. Luckily I have had to many healthy stints in my life to consider myself a Drunkard. I kind of dance around the edges. The time is Now to change-leave being a drunk behind in the gutter. I am a tourist and I like the dive bar scene but its time to move on and get more life affirming. I am rapidly aging and only exercise and health can turn back the clock. I meet 50 year old’s at the bar and I see myself in them. Its time for change-I found this snippet interesting with regards to drinking:
Alcohol-Induced Liver Disease
Explore this section to learn more about the ways in which alcohol affects the liver and how alcohol-induced liver disease is diagnosed and treated.
What is the liver’s role in processing alcohol?
The liver breaks down alcohol so it can be eliminated from your body. If you consume more alcohol than the liver can process, the resulting imbalance can injure the liver by interfering with its normal breakdown of protein, fats, and carbohydrates.
What are the types of alcohol-induced liver disease?
There are three kinds of liver disease related to alcohol consumption:
Fatty liver is marked by a build-up of fat cells in the liver. Usually there are no symptoms, although the liver may be enlarged and you may experience discomfort in your upper abdomen. Fatty liver occurs in almost all people who drink heavily. The condition will improve after you stop drinking.
Alcoholic hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. Up to 35 percent of heavy drinkers develop alcoholic hepatitis. Symptoms may include loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and tenderness, fever and jaundice. In its mild form, alcoholic hepatitis can last for years and will cause progressive liver damage. The damage may be reversible if you stop drinking. In its severe form, the disease may occur suddenly, after binge drinking, and it can quickly lead to life-threatening complications.
Alcoholic cirrhosis is the most serious type of alcohol-induced liver disease. Cirrhosiscirrhosis are similar to those of alcoholic hepatitis. The damage from cirrhosis is not reversible, and it is a life-threatening disease. Your condition may stabilize if you stop drinking. refers to the replacement of normal liver tissue with scar tissue. Between 10 and 20 percent of heavy drinkers develop cirrhosis, usually after 10 or more years of drinking. Symptoms of
Many heavy drinkers will progress from fatty liver to alcoholic hepatitis and finally to alcoholic cirrhosis, though the progression may vary from patient to patient. The risk of developing cirrhosis is particularly high for people who drink heavily and have another chronic liver disease such as viral hepatitis C.
What are the complications of alcohol-induced liver disease?
Serious complications from alcohol-induced liver disease typically occur after many years of heavy drinking. Once they do occur, the complications can be serious and life-threatening. They may include:
Accumulation of fluid in the abdomen
Bleeding from veins in the esophagus
Enlarged spleen
High blood pressure in the liver
Changes in mental function, and coma
Kidney failure
Liver cancer
How is alcohol-induced liver disease diagnosed?
Alcohol-induced liver disease may be suspected based on other medical and lifestyle issues related to alcohol abuse. Blood tests and imaging tests (MRI, CT scan, or ultrasound) may help in diagnosis and to rule out other causes of liver disease. Proof is best established by liver biopsy.
How is alcohol-induced liver disease treated?
First, you must stop drinking. Your doctor may suggest changes in your diet and certain vitamin supplements to help your liver recover from the alcohol-related damage. Medications may be needed to manage the complications caused by your liver damage. In advanced cases of alcoholic cirrhosis, the only treatment option may be a liver transplant. However, active alcoholics will usually not qualify as suitable organ recipients.
In order to stop drinking, you may need to participate in an alcohol recovery program. The best resource is likely to be an alcoholic support group, because you must stay sober to recover from your liver disease.
What is the outlook for people with alcohol-induced liver disease?
Anyone with alcohol-induced liver disease will improve their health and life expectancy if they stop drinking. For patients who do not stop drinking, the outlook is poor; they are likely to suffer a variety of life-threatening health problems caused by alcohol-related liver damage.
Is there a safe level of drinking?
For most people, moderate drinking will not lead to alcohol-induced liver disease. Moderate drinking means no more than one drink a day for women and two drinks a day for men. (A standard drink is one 12-ounce beer, one 5-ounce glass of wine or one 1.5-ounce shot of distilled spirits.) However, for people with chronic liver disease, especially alcohol-induced liver disease, even small amounts of alcohol can make the liver disease worse. Patients with alcohol-induced liver disease and those with cirrhosis from any cause should stop using alcohol completely.
Women are more likely to be affected by alcohol-induced liver disease because women can be affected by smaller amounts of alcohol than men.
Even small amounts of alcohol can be dangerous when taken with medications containing acetaminophen, found in many over-the-counter pain relievers. The combination of alcohol and acetaminophen can be very harmful to the liver for anyone who drinks. Never take acetaminophen with alcohol, or immediately after a period of heavy drinking.
The next time I want to head to the bar or to the package store I am going to reread this article and put my running shoes on. Adios and its been real……..Change is difficult but not impossible. (I’ll probably fall of the wagon again though)
Recently I went down to the closing of one of the local fav’s. The Denver music scene-well not the richest in talent, is definitely alive. Its famous dive bar (the Cricket) is dead-memories are definitely montaging through my mind. I remember playing there in the 80’s when I was about 6′5″ with my blond Flock of Seagulls Hair. Now I am 41, 6′ and balding, my how time flies when your having fun! Going down there the other night certainly brought back a lot of memories. It was also kind of depressing to see a bunch of aging rock stars all gacked out. Myself, I resisted that temptation…
With any music scene, there always seems to be a lot of blow. I rarely do the stuff, it’s definitely not my drug of choice, I never buy the stuff. It’s the drug where you see 5 guys go into the bathroom together and emerge 15 minutes later, all suddenly best friends. I tend to be a chatter box on the stuff, telling my life story and talking so much that half the hang-over is all about-what the hell was I talking about last night? The hangover from that stuff is brutal but than again when you are inhaling leaves that were soaked in gasoline, your not exactly on the health tip. People that smoke it are a different story-I’ve seen people turn into scarecrows over night on the stuff. Expensive habit that destroys the body and the mind. One of my old musical friends who will remain nameless is now a burned out, brain damaged, zombie from the stuff. The guy went from playing Red Rocks to doing time in the county. Speed, Heroine and Coke are the most destructive drugs on the planet- for sure. These days I hardly even smoke weed, I think my drug daze are almost over-I can see the light……
Think of all the assassinations and murder that are behind cocaine production. Think about the paramilitary outfits that grow the stuff. To the South Americans, the stuff is poison that they are sending up to destroy the white culture in America-they are doing a pretty good job of it. Most of the Coke kingpins are into smoking weed and don’t touch the stuff. They know its poison, the chemical process to create the stuff is nasty to say the least. The US system allows the stuff to rule the inner city where it destroys lives. The cartels that bring the stuff in are sophisticated and ruthless. I have heard stories of a woman carrying a dead baby on a plane that was stuffed with cocaine, pickled in formaldehyde. To think that smugglers will go to such gory lengths to bring the stuff in is all you need to do the next time you get yourself a packet. You are snorting blood, death, and destruction.
Well, enough of that rant. Getting cleaned up is a tough process. You often trade one vice for another. I have smoked marijuana regularly since I was 18. It was part of my culture, and really the only drug I like. I don’t like getting hammered on alcohol because I can’t recover from the hangover any more. I guess my last vice is the 1-6 beers that are within my new limits. After that, well the party’s kind of over. Depressing, maybe, but once you get to the other side of the Drugs and Alcohol life you begin to feel like being clean is almost a buzz. My god, my brain actually works better when it is clean. I could talk about regret, lost opportunities, the fact that I am not tin the same class as my peers financially. I could blame that on weed but really the blame has to be pointed inward. The drugs are a mask for an inability to function as a healthy person. The root causes lie beneath the surface-cleaning up is painful and I have faced depression. It’s important to go deep within the pain in order to find yourself and realize the illusory nature of your reality on drugs. Things aren’t any different, you are just anesthetized. Still, there is great hope because I can see the light. I feel clearer. I am not out of the woods yet and there are no absolutes. Still, I want to get cleaned up to the point where smoking weed becomes a bad experience. I have only been there once in my adult life….there is great hope though.
Enough about drugs, I’ll leave off with a movie clip from Scarface. I think the movie is perhaps one of the greatest anti-drug films ever made. To think in college I went to a Scarface party where you tried to do blow every time Tony Montana did some-scary, no wonder I went from 175 to 155 in a couple months of dabbling with that crap-enough said…..

Caesar:
Who is it in the press that calls on me?
I hear a tongue shriller than all the music
Cry “Caesar!” Speak, Caesar is turn’d to hear. Soothsayer:
Beware the ides of March. Caesar:
What man is that? Brutus:
A soothsayer bids you beware the ides of March.
Well the Ides of March are nearly upon us! Traditionally it is the 15th day of March, marking the assassination of Julius Caesar. It is a time of great foreboding, a time for me to remain underground-at least until after St. Patty’s day-the commercial beer drinking holiday. These days even waking up without having been drunk the night before I still have a hangover. Its time to really take it easy-not like an Eagles song-I won’t be going to Winslow, Arizona any time soon. It’s the season for laying low!
Well enough about old school diva’s and defunct now obscure Electronica bands (the train for my latest posts)-it’s onwards and upwards. Although I must admit my 3d Coordinate system is skewed along the Z-axis and up might actually be down. Without apparent direction in life, we are all lost so I must remain on the path whether it be deceiving or illusory and not ask any questions. Not over-analyze, rather-blend in with my surroundings. Adapt from the perspective of an organism’s bio-survival circuit-blend in or/ eat or be eaten.
Underground means trying to stay off the radar screen. Lying low, fading away like an old Crazy Horse tune. Rust Never Sleeps is my favorite Niel Young Album for sure. The movie is actually pretty interesting as well. I get burned on Niel though, don’t get me wrong he’s a great songwriter. It just seems stale after 20 years. Still, the imagery sits in my head, it’s all about lying low.
Today is warm in Denver-about 50. I’ll take another bike ride, see the sights, maybe work out and than settle in to my new hobby-eBay! I am getting very fast at creating auctions and I am going into the auctions business from the fixed price store format. It’s more pro-active, kind of like a casino with various conversion rates over a seven day auction cycle. There’s also timing and placement-getting into the mammoth eBay market with a slew of used books and lp’s isn’t necessarily a soft science.
Recently I lost my powerseller status on ebay. I kind of slacked on my business from Christmas to Valentines day-took a little lost weekend. Luckily I made some money doing side jobs like plowing snow and hauling firewood. Now is the time to grab the bull by the horns and take back my powerseller status. This will be a new challenge but the alternative is working for the man. It’s time to be the man-become the guy you can’t fire. If I could fire myself I probably would have layed myself off right around Christmas. In essence I did, the problem being I still had to run my business. Somehow by doing the minimum I have stayed alive. Thankfully, I can now rise out of the ashes like the Phoenix. (Some consider the Phoenix an unlucky, evil symbol-let the superstitious beware…the dark ages never ended and Medieval superstitions still surround us and form the icons for much of pop culture,(let it be said)).

Today I began doing ebay again. I figure on doing about 300 auctions or so in the next week. I think that will pay the bills.
Last night I said goodbye to the local music dive and said goodbye to a lot of different things. I am thinking about drying out for awhile. I am thinking about cleansing-I have contemplated undergoing a three day fast where I eat nothing but grapes and apples, drink only apple juice and grape juice, as well as lots of water. I’ll eat some nuts for protein. The cleansing fast. The idea is that you clear your body out of all the toxins from day to day eating. After a few days you begin working on stuff that’s in your body that’s hard to cleanse. Anyway, enough of what could turn into a too personal, TMI type ramble…
Keeping my health is a number one priority right now. Staying on top of things both mentally and physically. I have been getting almost too much exercise-I threw my shoulder out a little bit the other day lifting weights. I am trying to increase my bench press by putting a lot of weights on the machine as well as working with barbell free weights to build individual arm strength. The short is I kind of over did it. It’s good to take a few days off and not be sore all the time though and that’s what I’ll be doing.
The weather’s been nice and I have been riding my bike a lot. I have been trying to shift gears mentally and practicing meditation is a good way to put yourself in touch with your higher self. Corrections in your life come naturally, bad habits erased and logical decisions are made based on the bio-survival circuit.
Here’s another one for my video craze a la early MTV-the Swiss band Yello-does anybody remember these guys? They were the masters of studio programming and master musicians as well. I guess they were well off to start of with so they can just fade away. They probably made a mint off of publishing their OH Yeah song which was used in Ferris Buehler’s Day off and about a million sporting events. This clip includes a cameo from Shirley Bassey who is best know for singing the lead vocals for James Bond theme songs like Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker. Another great lost 80’s band-the utterly forgettable decade in many ways.Yello Featuring ShirleyBassey – The Rhythm Divine
Do you think this gal could have won American Idol? Here’s Shirley Bassey in her prime performing in London one of her Bond themes Goldfinger.
This example shows that Shirley can keep her career alive when most of her contemporaries are in the way are they now category-circa 1997-(she’s still recording at 70 in 2008!)

Today I think I am settling in. No more roving lost spirit for awhile-its time to domesticate myself again. In the past few months I’ve wandered like a gypsy. As a manifestation of my gypsy ways, I am getting more and more inspired by European music forms, even homegrown ones. The eastern European Gypsy and Klezmer music have a different type of melodic and rhythmical approach. American music just goes kind of sour due to saturation and lack of a real musical tradition. I am trying to expand myself and break out of old ruts,( A never ending process it seems….)
This is a band that recently came to town. One of my friends caught the show and introduced them to me. Very interesting stuff-Eastern European post punk is the best word to describe it as far as I can tell. There’s a lot of Gypsy and Klezmer music in the recipe for sure!
Gogol Bordello I Would Never Want to be Young Again
Broadening my horizons and opening new doors is my Raison D’etre these days. New bands, new outlook, rebirthing for the soul. For the past year and a half or so I have resided in the gutter-by choice. The view from the bottom is never so good as the view from the top-believe me. Where we are in life is figurative, I have learned not to embrace materialism. Wealth is freedom but it is also a cage because money becomes the pagan idol that runs your life. I am looking for a happy medium-a more simple prosperity.
When I was on the west coast in the early 90’s I was first introduced to rebirthing. It’s very simple, just a serious of breaths and you visualize the energy following through your body and Chakra system. A powerful visualization surrounds you with healing white light and you great a cleansed circumference, a sphere of energy around your body. The basic premise is to short circuit the build up of conditioning and all the garbage reality pumps into your subconscious. Go back to your first breaths and clean up your slate-blank slate-tabla rossa.
Here’s the mediation I learned back in the misty forests of the Northwest. It’s really just a series of 17 breaths and the exercise is known as Christ consciousness. It takes I while to master the silence and clear your mind of noise but this is worthwhile. Every once and awhile in my life I am brought back to this teaching and it helps recenter and rebirth my consciousness. Lord knows it needs all the help it can get……
The Teaching On Spherical Breathing
(I lifted this off the web-shame on me but its been around in print for quite awhile now-pre WWW for sure so I don’t feel guilty…)
Like the sun, we must breath, radiating out to all life. And from all life we will receive our manna.
Begin by creating a place in your home that is used only for this meditation. Make a space where no one will walk through or disturb you, possibly in your bedroom. A small altar with a candle and a cushion or pillow to sit upon may be helpful. Make this place holy. It is here that you will learn to create the MER-KA-BA around your body and make conscious contact with your higher self.
Once each day, enter into this meditation, until the time comes when you are a conscious breather, remembering with each breath your intimate connection with God.
To begin the meditation, first sit down and relax. Let the worries of the day go. Breathe rhythmically and shallow. Be aware of your breath and relax. When you feel the tension begin to fade, begin to open your heart. Feel Love. Feel Love for all life everywhere. Continue to breathe rhythmically, being aware of your breath, and feel the Love moving through your spirit. When the FEELING of love is in your beingness, you are ready to begin to move toward the experience of the MER-KA-BA. Without this Love, no amount of knowledge will create the MER-KA-BA. To the degree you are able to Love, will be the degree you will be able to experience the MER-KA-BA.
The following is an overview of the meditation to reach the MER-KA-BA. There are seventeen breaths to reach completion. The first six are for balancing of the polarities within your eight electrical circuits, and, also, for the cleansing of these circuits. The next seven, which are quite different, are to re-establish the proper pranic flow through your body, and to recreate Spherical Breathing within your body. The fourteenth breath is unique unto itself. It changes the balance of pranic energy within your body from third dimensional to fourth dimensional awareness. The last three breaths recreate the rotating fields of the MER-KA-BA within and around your body.
The instructions: The following instructions will be broken down into four areas: MIND, BODY, BREATH and HEART
FIRST BREATH: Inhale
HEART: Open your heart and feel love for all life. If you cannot do this, you must at least open to this love as much as is possible for you. This is the most important instruction of all.
MIND: Become aware of the male star tetrahedron the apex facing up to the sun, the point facing to the front for male, the point to the back for females) filled with the brilliant white light surrounding your body. Visualize it the best you can. If you cannot visualize it, sense or feel it surrounding you.
BODY: At the same moment of inhalation, place your hands in the mudra of your thumb and first finger touching. Remember, lightly touch your fingers, and do not allow your fingers to touch each other or any other object. Keep your palms facing up.
BREATH: At this same moment, with empty lungs, begin to breath in a complete yogic manner. Breathe through your nostrils only, except at certain places which will be described. Simply put, breath from your stomach first, then your diaphragm, and finally your chest. Do this in one movement, not three parts. The exhale is completed either by holding the chest firm and relaxing the stomach, slowly releasing the air, or by holding the stomach firm and relaxing the chest. The most important aspect is that this breathing must be rhythmic. Begin by using seven seconds in and seven seconds out, but as you get familiar with this meditation, find your own rhythm. The following instructions for a complete Yogic Breath are from “the Hindu-Yogi Science of Breath” by Yogi Ramacharake. Perhaps this description will be helpful.
Breathing through the nostrils, inhale steadily, first filling the lower part of the lungs, which is accomplished by bringing into play the diaphragm, which descending exerts a gentle pressure on the abdominal organs, pushing forward the front walls of the abdomen. Then fill the middle part of the lungs, pushing out the lower ribs, breastbone and chest. Then fill the higher portion of the lungs, protruding the upper chest, thus lifting the chest, including the upper six or even pairs of ribs. At first reading it may appear that this breath consists of three distinct movements. This, however, is not the correct idea. The inhalation is continuous, the entire chest cavity from the lowered diaphragm to the highest point of the chest in the region of the collar bone, being expanded with a uniform movement. Avoid a jerky series of inhalations, and strive to attain a steady continuous action. Practice will soon overcome the tendency to divide the inhalation into three movements, and will result in a uniform continuous breath. You will be able to complete the inhalation in a few seconds after a little practice.
Exhale quite slowly, holding the chest in a firm position, and drawing the abdomen in a little and lifting it upward as the air leaves the lungs. When the air is entirely exhaled, relax the chest and abdomen. A little practice will render this part of the exercise easy, and the movement once acquired will be afterward performed almost automatically.
FIRST BREATH: Exhale
HEART: Love
MIND: Become aware of the female tetrahedron, (apex pointing to the earth, point facing to the back for males, point facing to the front for females), also filled with the brilliant white light.
BODY: Keep the same mudra.
BREATH: Do NOT hesitate at the top of the inhalation to begin the exhalation. Exhale quite slowly, approximately seven seconds, in the Yogic manner. When the air is out of the lungs, without forcing, relax the chest and abdomen and HOLD the breath. When you feel pressure to breathe again, after about five seconds or so, then do the following:
MIND: Be aware of the flat equilateral triangle at the top of the female tetrahedron located in the horizontal plane that passes through your chest at the sternum. In a flash, and with a pulse like energy, send that triangular plane down through the female tetrahedron. It gets smaller as it goes down and pushes out the tip or apex of the tetrahedron all the negative energy of the mudra or electrical circuit, a light will shoot out of the apex toward the center of the Earth.
The Mind exercise is performed along with the following BODY movements…
BODY: Move your eyes slightly toward each other, or, in other words, slightly cross your eyes. Now bring them up to the top of their sockets, or in other words, look up. Also, this looking up motion should not be extreme. You will feel a tingling feeling between your eyes in the area of your third eye. You can now look down to the lowest point you can, as fast as you can. You should feel an electrical sensation move down your spine. The MIND and BODY must coordinate the above mental exercise with the eye movements. The eyes look down from their up position at the same time the mind sees the triangular horizontal plane of the female tetrahedron move down to the apex of the female tetrahedron. This combined exercise will clean out the negative thoughts and feelings that have entered into your electrical system. Specifically, it will clean out the part of your electrical system that is associated with the particular mudra you are using. Immediately upon pulsing the energy down your spine, you change mudras to the next one and begin the entire cycle over again.
The next five breaths are a repeat of the first breath with the following mudra changes:
Second breath mudra: Thumb and second finger together
Third breath mudra: Thumb and third finger together
Fourth breath mudra: Thumb and little finger together
Fifth breath mudra: Thumb and first finger together (same as first breath)
Sixth breath mudra: Thumb and second finger together (same as second breath)
The first part, the first six breaths, the balancing of the polarities, and the cleansing of your electrical system is now complete. You are now ready for the next part, the next seven breaths.
Part 2
Here an entirely new breathing pattern begins. You do not need to visualize the star tetrahedron at this time. Only the tube that runs through the star, from the apex of the male tetrahedron above your head to the apex of the female tetrahedron below your feet, needs to be seen and worked with. This extends one hand length above your head and one hand length below your feet. The diameter of YOUR tube will be the size of the hole formed by YOUR thumb and forefinger touching.
BREATH NUMBER SEVEN: Inhale
HEART: Love.
MIND: Visualize or sense the tube running through your body. The instant you begin the seventh inhale, see the brilliant white light of the prana moving down the tube from the top and up the tube from the bottom at the same time. This movement is almost instantaneous. The point where these two light beams meet within your body is controlled by the mind and is a vast science known throughout the universe. In this teaching however, we will only be shown what is necessary, that which will take you from third to fourth dimensional awareness. In this case you will direct the two beams of prana to meet at your navel, or more correct, within your body at navel level, inside the tube. The moment the two beams of prana meet, which is just as the inhale begins, a sphere of white light or prana is formed at the meeting point about the size of a grapefruit centered on the tube. It all happens in an instant. As you continue to take the inhale of the seventh breath, the sphere of prana begins to concentrate and grow slowly.
BODY For the next seven breaths use the same mudra for both inhale and exhale, the thumb, first and second touching together palms up.
BREATH: Deep rhythmic Yogic breathing, seven seconds in and seven seconds out. There is no holding of the breath from now on. The flow of prana from the two poles will not stop or change in any way when you go from inhale to exhale. It will be a continuous flow that will not stop for a long as you breath in this manner, even after death.
SEVENTH BREATH: Exhale
MIND: The prana sphere centered at the navel continues to grow. By the time of the full exhale, the prana sphere will be approximately eight or nine inches in diameter.
BREATH: Do not force the air out of your lungs. When your lungs are empty naturally, immediately begin the next breath.
EIGHTH BREATH: Inhale
HEART: Love.
MIND: The prana sphere continues to concentrate life force energy and grow in size
EIGHT BREATH: Exhale
MIND: The prana sphere continues to grow in size and will reach maximum size at the end of this breath. This maximum size is different for each person. If you put your longest finger in the center of your navel, the line on your wrist defining your hand will show you the radius of the maximum size of this sphere for YOU. This sphere of prana cannot grow larger.
NINTH BREATH: Inhale
MIND: The prana sphere cannot grow larger, so what happens is the prana begins to concentrate within the sphere. The visual appearance is that the sphere grows BRIGHTER. BREATH: Sphere grows brighter and brighter as you inhale.
NINTH BREATH: Exhale
BREATH: As you exhale, the sphere continues to grow brighter and brighter.
TENTH BREATH: Inhale
MIND: About half way through this inhale, as the sphere continues to brighter, the prana sphere reaches critical mass. The sphere ignites into a sun, a brilliant blinding ball of white light. You are now ready for the next step.
TENTH BREATH: Exhale
MIND: At the moment of exhale, the small sphere two hand lengths in diameter bulges to expand. In one second, combined with the breath talked about below, the sphere expands quickly out to the sphere of Leonardo, out at your finger tips of your extended arms. Your body is now completely enclosed within a huge sphere of brilliant white light. You have returned to the ancient form of spherical breathing. However, at this point, this sphere is not stable. You MUST breath three more times to keep the sphere stable.
BREATH: At the moment of exhale, make a small hole with your lips and blow out your air with pressure. As you feel the sphere begin to bulge, all within the first second of this exhale, let all of your air out rapidly. The sphere will expand at that moment.
PART 3
ELEVENTH, TWELFTH and THIRTEENTH BREATH: Inhale and Exhale
MIND: Relax and just feel the flow of the prana flowing from the two poles and meeting at the navel and then expanding out to the large sphere
BREATH: Breath rhythmically and deep. At the end of the thirteenth breath you have stabilized the large sphere and are ready for the important 14th breath.
THE FOURTEENTH BREATH
HEART: Love
MIND: On the inhale of the 14th breath, at the very beginning of the breath, move the point where the two beams of prana meet from the navel to the sternum, the fourth dimensional chakra. The entire large sphere, along with the original sphere, which is also still contained within the large sphere, moves up to the new meeting point within the tube. Though this is very easy to do, it is an extremely powerful movement. Breathing from this new point within the tube will inevitably change your awareness from third to fourth dimensional consciousness, or from earth consciousness to Christ consciousness. It will take awhile, but as I have said, it is inevitable.
BODY: This mudra will be used for the rest of the meditation. Place the left palm on top of the right palm for males and the right palm on top of the left palm for females. It is a mudra that relaxes.
BREATH: Rhythmic breath and deep. However, if you continue to breathe from your Christ center without moving on to the MER-KA-BA, which is what is recommended until you have made contact with your Higher Self, then shift to a shallow breath. In other words, breath rhythmically but in a comfortable manner where your attention is more on the flow of energy moving up and down the tube meeting at the sternum and expanding out to the large sphere. Just feel the flow. Use your feminine side to just be. At this point don’t think, just breath, feel and be. Feel your connection to All Life through the Christ Breath. Remember your intimate connection with God.
PART 4: THE LAST THREE BREATHS
The Mer-Ka-Ba, The Vehicle Of Ascension
You are asked not to attempt this FOURTH PART until you have made contact with your Higher Self, AND your Higher Self has given you permission to proceed. This part is to be taken seriously. The energies that will come into and around your body and spirit are of tremendous power. If you are not ready, you could hurt yourself. If your Higher Self gives you permission to enter into the MER-KA-BA, then don’t fear, for you will be ready.
FIFTEENTH BREATH: Inhale
HEART: Love
MIND: Be aware of the whole star tetrahedron. Realize that there are three whole star tetrahedrons superimposed over each other. One is the body itself, and is locked in place and never, except under certain conditions, moves. It is placed around the body according to maleness or femaleness. The second whole star tetrahedron is male in nature, it is electrical, is literally the human mind and rotates counter-clockwise relative to your body looking out, or to put it another way, it rotates toward your left side. The third whole star tetrahedron is female in nature, is magnetic, is literally the human emotional body and rotates clockwise relative to your body looking out, or to put it another way, it rotates toward your right side.
To be clear, we are not telling you to rotate the male tetrahedron one way and the female the other way. When we say rotate the whole star tetrahedron, we mean the whole thing.
On the inhale of the fifteenth breath, as you are inhaling, you will say to yourself, in your head, the code words, EQUAL SPEED. This will tell your mind that you want the two rotatable whole star tetrahedrons to begin spinning in opposite directions at equal speeds at the time of the exhale. Meaning that for every complete rotation of the mind tetrahedrons, there will be a complete rotation of the emotional tetrahedrons.
BODY: Continue the mudra of the folded hands from now on.
BREATH: Breath Yogic and rhythmically an deeply again, but only for the next three breaths, after that return to the shallow breathing.
FIFTEENTH BREATH: Exhale
MIND: The two sets of tetrahedrons take off spinning. In an instant, they will be moving at exactly one third the speed of light at their outer tips. You probably will not be able to see this because of their tremendous speed, but you can feel it. What you have just done is to start the MOTOR of the MER-KA-BA. You will not go anywhere, or have an experience. It is just like starting the motor of a car, but having the transmission in neutral.
BREATH: Make a small hole with your lips just like you did for breath Number Ten. Blow out in the same manner, and as you do, feel the two sets of tetrahedrons take off spinning.
SIXTEENTH BREATH: Inhale
MIND: This is the most amazing breath. On the inhale, as you are inhaling, say to yourself, in your head, THIRTY-FOUR – TWENTY-ONE. This is the code to your mind to spin the two sets of tetrahedrons at a ratio of 34-21. Meaning the Mind tetrahedrons spinning to the left will go around 34 times while the Emotional tetrahedrons spinning to the right will go around 21 times. As the two sets speed up the ratio will remain constant.
BREATH: Breathe rhythmically and Yogic.
SIXTEENTH BREATH: Exhale
MIND: As you let out the breathe, the two sets of tetrahedrons take off from their one third speed of light setting to two third speed of light in an instant. As they approach two thirds speed of light speed a phenomena takes place. A disk about 55 feet in diameter forms around the body at the level of the base of the spine. And the sphere of energy that is centered around the two sets of tetrahedrons forms with the disk to create a shape that looks like a FLYING SAUCER around the body. This energy matrix is called the MER-KA-BA. However, it is not stable. If you see or sense the MER-KA-BA around you at this point, you will know it to be unstable. It will be slowly wobbling. Therefore Breath Number Seventeen is necessary.
BREATH: Same as breath 16, make a small hole in your lips, and blow out with pressure. It is at this point that the speeds increases. As you feel the speed increasing, let out all your breath with force. This action will cause the higher speed to be fully obtained and the MER-KA-BA to be formed.
SEVENTEENTH BREATH: Inhale
HEART: Remember, unconditional love for all life must be felt through out all of this meditation or no results will be realized. MIND: As you breathe in, say to yourself, in your head, the code NINE TENTHS THE SPEED OF LIGHT. This code will tell your mind to increase the speed of the MER-KA-BA to nine tenths the speed of light which will stabilize the rotating field of energy. It will also do something else. This third dimensional universe that we live in is tuned to 9/10 the speed of light. Every electron in your body is rotating around every atom in your body at 9/10 the speed of light. This is the reason this particular speed is selected.
BREATH: Breathe rhythmically and in a Yogic manner.
SEVENTEENTH BREATH: Exhale
MIND: The speed increases to 9/10 the speed of light and stabilizes the MER-KA-BA.
BREATH: Same as breath 15 and 16, make a small hole in your lips, and blow out with pressure. As you feel the speed take off, let all your breath out with force. You are now in your stable and Third dimensionally tuned MER-KA-BA. With the help of your Higher Self, you will understand what this really means.

Its time for me to get back into my online business. I didn’t do much in February in terms of listing stuff and building up my online inventories. I just kind of did the minimum-residual sales from old inventory. I needed some down time to think about the future and the past. I made some good money plowing snow but at the same time wasn’t pushing the envelope. I came to the realization that running my business is better than working for someone else, or indeed, working in a coal mine.
Well the time is nigh to push the envelope because the alternatives aren’t good right now. Two large airplane corporations just got their funding pulled and laid off over 3000 people at Centennial airport business park. Clubs and bars are closing down, long time establishments are going under. As a sign of the times my favorite mountain bike recently got stolen from outside one of the downtown gyms with CC TV. It was definitely not even close to the latest greatest with a hardtail, not worth much in parts on the black market. Some guy walks up with bolt cutters & a backpack and is gone in a flash, no way to make any identification, even with regards to race or any kind of features like hair color or facial features; CC TV is a worthless in most cases-only a deterrent to those that aren’t brazen.
My favorite mountain bike was a custom Klein hard tail pulse pro from 1995. In its day it went for 1100, now its probably worth 200$. The back derauilleur and front brakes were both disabled. It was my long term fixed gear project as well as sentimental favorite mountain bike that had been to Moab, the Colorado Trail, Summit county, Vail, and Fruita-some of the finest trails anywhere. Now the bike was my around town beater and someone stole it???? A sign of the times, oh well must let go.
As of now I have decided that running my business is certainly better than working in a coal mine. Previously I have already revealed my nerdiness by playing a devo video and I am continuing on that train, however disturbing it may be. I thought I would bust out this song that devo covered. I don’t know why the SChurch of the Subgenius has reemerged here in 2008 in my mental landscape, I thought all that stuff was buried deep in my sub-consciousness. Protected by screen memories-forget the 80’s, forget the 80’s, Reagan was a robot and Nancy was secretly gay.
According to someone I know who has ties to the legal profession, there is a possibility that Devo was brought down by a lawsuit after the bass player Gerald Casale accidently kicked an audience member in the head wearing steel toe boots . I heard that the band went from being the biggest act on the College circuit to total bankruptcy. If they hurt somebody, they probably deserved it. It was probably also good for western culture in general because they went a little too far with a lot of there costumes, especially the bumble bees. Regardless, I secretly worship this band and when I am on a solo road trip, miles from nowhere, I’ll blast this shit-Devo were the innovators….They seemed to have survived their demise being talented versatile guys with LA LA land connections. Anyway, I have perhaps revealed too much…oh know….I’m weird?!$%%$?!
Enough Devo, forget the 80’s, forget the 80’s; the Talking Heads were better even though they were essentially a copycat band of Devo; …..forget the 80’s, …….
The original version of Working in a Coalmine by Lee Dorsey
Luckily this goes back to the Seventies-Devo’s reworking of the song live…
This is one of my all time favorite music videos and a classic early MTV video. The guys in Devo, particularly their leader Gerald V. Casale, were early pioneers of the music video form and were art and film school geeks. It reflects the irony I see in the world, the sublime, the beautiful against the stark, sullen, blues of depression. I some times get a little down certain times of year but spring always brings me out of it. I have many plans for the summer in terms of getting outside and away from the blues and the beers. Not that I am turning angelic, just trying to cleanse.
Here’s the Devo video for Beautiful World which many consider a music video masterpiece.
Yesterday, I battled the storm and made some good cash scraping, slicing, de-icing, plowing, and shoveling snow and ice. It was a mad affair-13 hours with a bubblegum break at 3:00 o’clock and a dinner break as well. Today the sun is back out and its nearly 50 degrees-time to play in the sun and get some early spring fever-but bring on the snow-I love battling the blizzard and making some cash.
Well on other fronts I had to crash myspace and I think I am not coming on using my real name any more. It wasn’t a bad experience but it also wasn’t a good one. I keep getting mysteriously hacked and porno pictures are inserted next to baby pictures of my niece which disturbed me. On some level it heightened my paranoia level which is usually about mid-range. Could this be a personal enemy or just a random person? I also tend to dig up people I shouldn’t sometimes and other people dig me up which isn’t always a good thing. Not a bad thing, neither a good thing either though. I need to develop a musical alter-ego or band and gestate a little more and make about ten new recordings.
In going through this strange experience with internet social pages I learned a lot about hacking. I am getting good at understanding the source code for the web and picking out the ciphers. It doesn’t take a genius to hack, just some one with better than average smarts and a little bit or programming know how. Not that I want to hack, I don’t want to end up in nerd jail.
These days I am going underground as much as possible and trying to figure out a new direction for generating more cash flow. I have a few pipelines but they are only paying the bills-I need mad money! For now enough said-back to the business at hand which is worshiping the sun.
